Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced the Satellite C600 Series, a new line of entry-level laptops. Designed for budget-smart consumers and “Back-to-School” shoppers looking for a quality entry-level PC to manage basic productivity, the new Satellite C600 Series of laptops strikes an ideal balance of style, performance and cost at price points starting under $500.
Fully encased in Toshiba’s durable Trax textured finish in Black that helps resist fingerprints, the Satellite C600 Series comes in 14-inch and 15.6-inch diagonal display1 options. The laptops are equipped with standout features like HD TruBrite® widescreen displays, fast DDR3 RAM and hard drives ranging from 250GB to 320GB2. Well-equipped with built-in high-speed Wireless-N3 connectivity, DVD SuperMulti drives, multi-touch TouchPads™ and a choice of Intel or AMD processors, the laptops are a cinch to use and are ideal for powering the essentials.

- Toshiba ReelTime™: Helps users easily and quickly find files based on when they were opened with a simple visual history. Quickly scroll through automatically generated previews of documents, spreadsheets, presentations and more, filter by file type or use the calendar to go back weeks or months.
- Ten-Key Keypad: The 15.6-inch Satellite C655 features a built-in numeric 10-key keypad.

The Satellite C640 also features a power-efficient, mercury-free LED backlit display.
