Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information
Systems, Inc., today announced the addition of a 3TB1
capacity offering to its Canvio® Basics storage lineup. The 3TB Canvio
Basics portable hard drive can store up to 856,500 digital photos,
789,000 digital music files or 2,460 downloaded digital movies2.
As with the rest of the offerings within the Canvio Basics 3.0 line,
software setup is not necessary.

The 3TB Canvio Basics portable hard drive is exceptionally efficient and
easy to use. Consumers can connect the device right out of the box and
simply connect to their PC to begin saving their digital files. The
Canvio Basics portable hard drive supports USB 3.0 for rapid transfer
speeds3, is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and is also
equipped with a special internal shock sensor and ramp loading
technology designed to keep consumers' digital files safer against
accidental drops.
